While for over 25 years Brian has led a very healthy lifestyle, due to life's challenging circumstances he found himself uncharacteristically out of balance. Therefore, to overcome his daunting obstacles, Brian devised the means to restore his true nature and his authentic self. Today he spends his time showing others how to do the same.
Brian considers himself an everyman who has learned how to trust his intuition and listen to his heart which has led him to follow his goals and dreams and make them reality! He believes that living a balanced and centered lifestyle combined with a loving acceptance and belief in yourself is key to speeding up the process of attaining and accomplishing all of your goals and dreams. Things come much easier and flow much more readily when we are in balance.
From having mentored hundreds of troubled young people working as a community volunteer, Benson is eternally grateful to have gained the valuable lessons of listening, patience and empathy. To raise money for charity, Brian joined a group of fellow philanthropic cyclists to ride from Seattle to Washington DC in 1996. Benson is a natural athlete who has finished over fifty triathlons, including four Ironman distance races.
A graduate of Oregon State University with a degree in Worksite Health Promotion, as well as CTA (Coach Training Alliance), Benson lives in Reno, Nevada. In a nutshell my next book says that everybody has answers if they just get quiet and listen.
Most people completely stop dreaming and if they do dream they wonder why they set goals and they don't materialize. Moreover, if a book provides a one-size-fits-all protocol then everyone should become happy and successful. But they don't because the most important missing ingredient in most self-improvement books is the lesson that readers must follow their gut, their hunch, their intuition.
I use intuition to accomplish everything and while it’s difficult for most writers to use mere words to harness the infinite I must employ intuition to guide me in the right direction. While male intuition is hard to explain all men have it but most men (and some women) either don't understand intuition or never effectively develop it. Although I have not achieved a profound level of enlightenment, nor am I anywhere near what I see possible for myself, when I do catch even a minute glimpse of the infinite I achieve miraculous, unpredictable and nearly impossible things. And so can everyone.
I describe myself as an ordinary guy who tapped into his inner guidance to achieve extraordinary results; now I help others do the same. To that end, I gently encourage readers to identify their habitual behaviors so they may recognize and rewire their ingrained, negative thoughts. By providing examples from my success as a triathlete, my book provides specific means for readers to access a state of flow so they may resurrect and pursue their goals and dreams.
"Don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. Chances are you are going to land quite comfortably with both feet on the ground ready to take that next step."
